Candolini is one of the oldest distilleries, founded in 1898 at Tarcento (Udine) by Giovanni Candolini. Fratelli Branca purchased the distillery in 1987. Grappa Candolini is produced from carefully selected top-quality distillates and has a clean and refined palate. Its particularly soft taste is extremely successful in Italy, where this brand achieved the market leadership in 2008.

Candolini Grappa Bianca is the largest Grappa brand in Italy. Candolini Bianca was originally consumed by the “Alpini” or mountain troops and was immediately popular because of its smooth and refined taste. The distillates come from a blend of several grape varietals including Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Cabernet, Aglianico and Falaghina among others.

Candolini Grappa Ruta is produced in the same manner as Candolini Grappa Bianca except for one distinct difference. A real twig of Rue, known as Ruta or “Herb of Grace”, grown as a medicinal herb, is added to the bottle. This addition of Ruta changes the color of the grappa from crystal clear to a faint light green.
